The iPad3 and the New iPad are similar in design. The difference is in weight and thickness. So while the new iPad looks the same as the old one, there are some significant differences.

The first one is the display. It’s an incredible high resolution display that is 2048 x 1536 which is double the resolution of the previous iPad and the highest resolution than any HD Television. Even up-close, you can actually see the pixels in it. It’s pretty much like looking through a glowing piece of paper. Of course it sounds a bit ridiculous, but wait until you see it.

It should be noted though, that the radar display on the new iPad is a lower pixel density than that of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Apple’s explanation for this was that you will have to put your eyes a bit further when using the new iPad. Also inside the new iPad is the Apple A5X SOC, with a CPU that clocks 1GHZ, a quad core GPU (which assist a lot with graphics performance especially when playing games). There is no stutter, everything just moves fluidly.

In addition to that, there is a Verizon LTE. The performance on the LTE is really impressive. It’s great for browsing and streaming. It’s completely usable.
